Rehearsing in the serene and picturesque surrounds of Murrumbateman, a stone's throw away from award winning wineries, this is where the band hones its craft. Sipping tea, eating home-made scones with jam and cream, life is hard. Yet our vision is clear, our focus unwavering: to deliver an authentic recreation of the Fleetwood Mac sound.

Sweet Little Lies began with a desire to do a 70s tribute night. What band would we cover? Fleetwood Mac. Little did we know it was to become something so much more meaningful.

With dance floors packed, rooms exploding with delight as hit after hit is played, audiences singing, dancing, and enthusiastically applauding, Sweet Little Lies taps into the memory of the audience and what those songs mean to them. A time, a place, events, loved ones come and gone. The simple memory of hearing that song for the first time and the emotions it evoked. The opening piano riff from Christine, the thumping hypnotic rhythm of Mick and John, the emotion of Stevie, the unmistakable tone of Lindsey…the audience is taken back to that sacred place where they heard their favourite bands’ music for the first time.

Consisting of 7 experienced, professional and engaging musicians, Sweet Little Lies covers greatest hits, cult favourites, and the best of Stevie’s solo work.

Sweet Little Lies is not just another 'tribute'. We celebrate the music.

Vocals, percussion

Singing teacher, song writer, recording artist and performer extraordinaire. Formerly of Canberra's celebrated originals band Freyja's Rain, and a regular on the scene with her acoustic duo Jen & Jim, Jenny is one of Canberra's finest artists. In Sweet Little Lies, Jenny wows audiences as the mystical, passionate songbird Stevie Nicks.

Vocals, acoustic guitar

Gaining recognition as a versatile front man for blues and rock bands around Canberra, Justin now shares the front line of Canberra's premier corporate band Smooth Ops. In doing so he gained the recognition of Sweet Little Lies. Here, Justin is the voice of Lindsey Buckingham and plays acoustic guitar to honour the sound characteristic of many Fleetwood Mac songs.

Vocals, percussion

Having performed with Australian pop royalty in John Farnham and Kylie Minogue, produced her ground-breaking solo album Identity, and provided exquisite vocals to the soundtracks of films Locks Of Love and The Pilgrim's Progress, Rachel brings true star quality. In Sweet Little Lies Rachel flawlessly delivers the golden, syrupy sweet tones of Christine McVie.

With his wife Lauree as the dynamic duo Wilowisp, releasing an EP as part of 4 piece band Wandering Ghosts, and having grunged his own way in originals band My Own True Love (placing 2nd in the Global Battle of the Bands NSW regional final), George is a highly sought-after musician in the industry and brings musical excellence to Sweet Little Lies. George recreates Christine McVie's beautiful keys playing that is quintessential to the Fleetwood Mac sound.

Guitarist, bassist, keys player, and vocalist, there is nothing James 'Jimmy' Halligan can't do. A stalwart on the music scene and partner in crime with Jenny in their duo Jen & Jim, Jimmy brings rock solid thumping bass lines John McVie would envy. Ever the joker, Jimmy brings fun and exuberance to every performance.

Electric guitar

John has toured Ireland, England and Europe with various outfits, and performed on TV and radio sessions including the BBC in Concert series. He moved to the Big Apple for a couple of years, playing in many clubs including the famous CBGB Club (known world-wide as the birthplace of underground rock'n'roll and punk!) Wowing audiences with blistering solos, in Sweet Little Lies John masters Lindsey Buckingham's signature riffs and solos.

Steve has been on the Australian rock music scene since the early 70s with hit Australian bands Blackfeather and Chariot, having touring the country extensively. He performed on Jon English's 1st solo album and with John Farnham live on TV show GTK. In Sweet Little Lies, Steve is the emeritus professor of the band, bringing vast knowledge, band stories, experience, and exquisite skill to the skins. His ability to recreate Mick Fleetwood's signature drumming style is effortless.

Sound engineer

Bassist for as long as he can remember, Ken is one of most wonderful people you will ever meet. Having played in various jazz, country, gospel, rock and pop outfits for decades in the ACT and NSW, Ken is also a fantastic luthier, creating custom electric guitars and basses. For Sweet Little Lies, Ken is our sound engineer, making us sound fantastic at every performance.
